Whether for entry into College or University or simply to improve their skills and confidence, working with a tutor can help identify topics and areas that are holding back progress and get on top of them. Sometimes it is just a matter of backfilling some gaps or cementing  foundation topics. For others it is about tackling and understanding more advanced topics. I will work to tailor the tuition to match your son or daughter's progress and work towards their target grades.

Maths is often the subject most people remember finding difficult at school and it can really knock your self confidence to feel it is something you never got to grips with. Getting support from a tutor can help  your son or daughter to build their confidence in doing maths and usually helps them improve between 1 and 3 grades per year more than they would on their own. I believe building confidence and self worth is an important element in developing skills and independence in maths and science and I always try to take a positive approach towards this.
